Mood Up Keeper

Today I want to do something really special.

I received a comment today from one of my newest friend's and a fellow designer and she has given me the most wonderful idea to start doing on my own blog.

She is THANKING her visitors that come to her site and leave a COMMENT.  I have always tried to thank my visitors each day with an email, but I do not THANK THEM on my blog personally.  Each week she is going to pick a special comment that means a lot to her and tell that person thank you by featuring the comment and telling why it meant so much to her.

I have decided to do the very SAME THING .... BECAUSE, Lisa .... this is such a fantastic idea.

Now, I want you know that this was no easy task for me.  I have received over a thousand comments during these past ten months!!!!  Because of the time it takes to go through them .... I will start with one that is pretty recent.

I received this comment from my dear friend and mentor, Trine.  Her blog is called Nothing But Freebies and she can be found at:  http://nothingbutfreebies.blogspot.com.  She offers many freebies and is such an artist in her own right.

Here is her comment that I received on October 19, 2012 about a layout I posted on my blog (I just wanted everyone to see ... I do scrapbook layouts, too).  It is from my post called "Don't Pout".

"Oh sweetie - if I want a happy laugh, your site, is the sure place
place to go.  I love, love, love, love your pouting layout.  It's a virtue
to be able to self-ironic (hmmmm, is that even a word in English).
Just checked with Google Translator and they say it's a word, which
probably means it's not).  Whatever, if you have more of these layouts,
please show them to us.  You are hereby appointed my personal
          "mood-up keeper".

And the reason, I chose this one .... I meant alot that she found the humor in my layout and what I was trying to convey.  She made me laugh over her "word" self-ironic and the word "whatever".  And lastly .... I love, love, love that she appointed me her personal "mood-up keeper".

Do go take a look at that layout and grab the free wordart I offered on that day ... again 10-19-12, Don't Pout.

And, this is sooooooo for you ..... Trine.

My freebie today is dedicated to Trine:
You can download her at:

Also, I want to feature another one of my
own scrapbook layouts from
Valentine's Day 2012
This one is of my grandson, Justin

.

So many thanks are also needed to be made.  I want to thank MizuuHim of Diviant Art for her beautiful one eyed beauty used in today's freebie.  She can be found at:  http://mizuuhime.deviantart.com.  And the girl is under the drawing called "Endless Sky".  And, ofcourse, I want to thank Lisa of http://decossesdynamitedoodles.blogspot.com for her inspiring idea.

And, lastly I want to thank "the man upstairs"; the one I always thank for all my blessings.  This special thought is for Him ... and the wonderful gift of "words and creating" that He has given me.

Keep those comments coming,  Hugs Sue

Heart's Memory

Good morning friends,

My freebie today is one I have made because of my reflective state of mind this morning.  I took a very early walk this morning and as I looked around my neighborhood, I realized that I am a very blessed person.

Not only has the day begun with gentle quiet, it's really beautiful this morning.  The air is crisp, with that touch of coolness that touches your nose and makes it cold.  But, it is one of those morning in which I felt extra close to God.  Many times in the morning that is when I talk to him in my mind.  And, this morning .... I have felt the overwhelming sense of "gratitude" not only for my family, but my friends.

So, my freebie is just my way of saying .... Thank You, Lord.

You can download it at:

And, to this early morning .... I want to bid all my friends that visit today ..... a very blessed day.

Hugs, Sue

Blessings

This freebie, it is the little girl that has captured my imagination.  I have been waiting for just the right moment to use her in a daily freebie.  Everything about her represents giving and love.  It is the candle light she is holding.  It's as if she represents all the "goodness and hope" of the world, if we would just look inside her eyes.

I decided to use her in this Thanksgiving Blessing because of that.  I do hope she reaches into your heart just as she has in mine.

Here is her preview:

I also want to dedicate today to a unbelievably talented artist. Her sketches and drawings are so beautiful and touching. She is able to capture the essence of beauty in the "eyes" of her subject matter. Her name is Meago and she displays her artisty at Deviantart. If you would like to go take a look at her work, she can be found at: http://meago.deviantart.com. Thank you, Meago ... I go to your site often because your talent is extraordinary.  Today's primary element is from her drawing called "November Lights".  I can't not say enough about her heartfelt talent.  It just takes my breathe away.  Time and time again, her talent just blows me away.

This freebie, I can see many scrapbook pages for it to be used in .... Thanksgiving, Fall, Christmas, religious and so, so much more ..........

Hugs always, Sue

Tooth Fairy

I have decided to go ahead and post my other two freebies that I planned to release tomorrow, because I have so much to do for my pending vacation to Texas.  So, that everyone does know I will be gone from October 3-October 9.  And, I don't think I will be posting/designing any other daily freebies until October 10th.

My family theme continues with thoughts of NOW going to the dentist.  This is one of my childhood and now adulthood "nightmares".  I have decided just in case there are some scrapbook pages being done on this "event" .... I have done something with a little "love" and another with a little "humor".

Here is my first freebie
around the theme of the toothfairy.
Afterall, every single child
waits for her arrival.

You can download her at:

The second freebie is to poke fun
at the "troubles" of going to the dentist.

Just in case you can't read the phrase ... it says
"what do you mean I have a cavity????"

You can download "troubles" at:

And, with this .... I bid you all a farewell for a little over a week.  I am so excited about this trip finally just being days away.  Do to my getting so sick in June .... that trip was cancelled.  We have just not been able to reschedule it any other time during the summer because of the continued problems.  I haven't seen my daughter, Angie or her family in over a year!!!!!  And, even though this trip is SO SHORT in comparison to the ones we usually make to Texas .... I am happy to just be finally going.

For those of you new to my site, still come for a visit during this upcoming week.  I have so many other freebies listed under LABELS that you can come a grab.  With Christmas just around the corner you may want to come and grab those that I have already done.

Have the best next week and a half ever.

Baby to little girl

Welcome to the month of October!!!!

For about five days I am going to do freebies on the theme of Family.  Here is my first one and I do hope that you like it.

It is called "Baby to Little Girl"
and dedicated to all
the Daddy's out there
both young and old!!!

Here is my preview:
You can download it at:

I am also giving this minus "when her father gives her away"
in png format.

https://rapidshare.com/files/2906822385/baby%20to%20girl%20no%20wedding.psd

The idea came from the song "When A Girl Changes From Bobbie Socks To Stockings" with my own little twist on it.  It represents the "First Love" of every single baby girl .... that says Dada.  And, then when Daddy is still the love of her life .... he teaches her the true meaning of unconditional love.  This will lead some day to "her Man of her Dreams", just like her Daddy was for her mother.

This one was very heartfelt to make, because I am married to just such a man .... and his love has never stopped shining for his daughters or son.  And, I am pleased as punch to say .... our children have the same kind of soul mates that I do.

Leave some love as always.  And I continue to welcome all my newbies to this blog and hugs as always to all my great old friends.

Hugs, Sue

Pick of the patch

You can download this at:
Again, if you are new to this site .... it will look like you are going
to Rapidshare home page; the download is in the center (download to computer)
This is a tried and true Halloween wordart.  It has been used many times and I can always find another way to say it.  This time, I did this one more with thoughts of fall.  As the temperatures are slowly starting to drop (yea .... no more 100 degrees), I am looking forward to football games, walks in the parks with the changing leaves, winter clothes and so much more.  My little fairy is my representation of Autumn.
Hope you like her.  It looks to me .... that she is sending everyone happy thoughts for today.
Hugs, Sue

One More Sports Freebie

Today's freebie can be used in all sports very easily.  And with the that here it a preview for you.

You can download it at:

I have done this wordart two different ways.  One with the stadium in the background and one with just the "Can Do" element and word anything.  This way that just adds to the way and ideas that this can be used for.

I am also including three photographs of myself because I have reached one of my goals in my journey to beat DIABETES.

Christmas 2011 (just after I'd been diagnosed)
at 190 pounds

July 15, 2012 (seven months later)
at 160 pounds
my ultimate goal by Christmas is
130 pounds
HALF WAY THERE ..... YEA!!!!!!!

This is an example of the can do anything!!!!   It's been a hard, sometimes frustrating, rewarding, ever inspiring, life changing challenge.  And I am fighting a hard battle .... but DIABETES will not win this ONE with me!!!!  This is me just coming back from a "Senior's Zumba" class.  If you haven't tried Zumba yet .... I for one ... recommend it highly.  It is so much fun .... you'll be smiling the entire time that you're there!!!!

Plum Sugar

You can download it at:

Time for all the little girls out there.  Where would our worlds be without their "constant smiles".  All the girls in my life are so very special .... they make me smile, they make me laugh, they make me happy and they make me grateful.

Loads of uses for this little missy ... but I couldn't resist the bubbles .... I am going to use this one in a "cookie making" scrapbook page ... except to say the bubbles represent "flour".

Do leave me some love .... I'VE BEEN MISSING IT!!!!

Poor Puppy

Even though I no longer have any pets, I just couldn't resist doing this one for all the dog lovers out there.  My grandson, Ryan just got a new puppy for his eleventh birthday and his name is Bruce.  And, thanks to the newest member of their family I wanted to do a wordart dedicated to Ryan and his new puppy.

A special dedication today goes out to Sweet Pea Designz for the lovely alphabet I used in this freebie.  It is the cutest ever.  Afterall, puppies and paw prints just go together.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  Without your beautiful creations, I'd be lost.  You can find her at:  http://sweet-pea-designz.blogspot.com.  Oh, I almost forgot the kit that this alphabet goes to .... is called "Rescued and Loved".

Here is a photo of Ryan with his new puppy Bruce on the morning of his birthday.

You can download this free wordart at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/8h3nsxfD/bad_puppy.html.

Hope you like it because it sure was FUN TO MAKE!!!!!!!!!

Top Secret Hero

Just felt like doing another freebie today with Miss Raggedy Ann.  She is such a beloved, cherished part of my childhood.  I wanted to do this one for all of us that have "heroes" in our lives.  Mine is definately my husband, especially right now.

He is and always will be my hero.

And, I bet there is just that perfect photograph you have been wanting to find the most appropriate wordart for.  Heroes are all around us ... whether it's family,  neighbors, friends, military, doctors and nurses, firemen and policemen .... and more than I can possibly think of .... EVERYONE OF US HAS HEROES in our lives.

Hope everyone is staying inside out of the heat and if you're not .... get in the water!!!!  I don't want to worry about any of my friends.

You can download this freebie at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/5DcjK8HX/top_secret_hero.html

Hugs and kisses, Sue

Lifeguard of love

" I hereby pledge to be your protector with bandaids, butterfly
kisses.  Plus my heart forever and ever.
I love you
To keep you safe"

We are God's Lifeguard to protect all the ones we love.  Again, thank you to Trina Clark at www.digiscrapskits.com.  Without her wonderful elements, this wordart may never have formed into my heart.  I just love her kits so much, and I do think it's time for me to buy some more!!!  I never have to many.

Just one more photo of Ryan with his birthday present for his 11th birthday.  His name is "Bruce" and he's six weeks old.  All Ryan has talked about is having his own puppy.  He has been saving his own money for one and his parents surprised him with this little jewel.  Ryan wants to be a vet when he goes up!!!!  I know he will be the "protector" of this little "Bruce".

If this is your first time to my site, I want to welcome you with a HUGE BIG TEXAS HUG.  I absolutely love doing wordart for all of you.  It has been such a amazing journey for me and I have met so many fantastic people.  Many of you have touched my heart deeply with your kind comments and even a few of you have ask for special requests.  It is my pleasure to come as often as I can to keep on creating.

Do sit a spell and if you like/love my work please leave me some comments and become a member.

Swinging Free

I have just received permission to do this childhood poem.  I want to thank Av of http://maisytotes.blogspot.com for her wonderful comment concerning her mother.  She told me that her mother use to sing this to her grandchildren when she pushed them on a swing.

The poem reminded me of more than swings ... it brought my imagination back to springtime, flowers and fairies.

If you love to cook .... Miss Av has some very wonderful recipes for you to look at.  So, don't forget to drop by for a visit.  I have personally tried a couple and they are all DELICIOUS!!!!

You can download this at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/GUZmfTJ6/swing_poem_1_.html
Thank you again, Miss Av.

Stuck In The Middle

I have three children and one of the topics of conversation when they were little was ..... SOMEONE IS ALWAYS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE.  It didn't matter who it happened to be either.  There was always, always one of my "darlings" that felt they were being treated unfairly.

Today's freebie is dedicated to those moments of life.

Here is my preview:

I have made numerous versions of this with different elements .... why?????  Just because.

Again the other previews with the elements:

I hope there is at least one that strikes your fancy.

You can download all four free wordarts at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/VmSxEY2q/stuck_in_the_middle.html

I am not sure I will be doing one tomorrow.  I am having a number of ultra sounds done this afternoon, labwork etc.  I have been in alot of pain for about two weeks now, with it getting worse by the day.  Didn't even going swimming yesterday ... instead went to the doctor.  My tests start at noon today.  Wish me luck ... and that they find out why I am in such pain.  Doing wordart to keep my mind off of my stomach.

Hugs always, Sue

Dirt Roads

Now, it is just a fact that little boys go with dirt .... that one day become the country dirt road joyrides ... that can turn into just plain lost.  But, hey those back roads just mean plain "country fun".

I have done this freebie two different ways .... one with the little boy element and one with just the words.  There are so many future scrapbook pages this can fit.  I see ....... country roads,  I see ........ cake mix on top of a youngster's head, I see ..... dirt bikes, I see ..... just being lost and so much more.  Do have fun with this one.

You can download it at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/QND92o8w/dirt_roads.html

Have a wonderful weekend.

You want me to do what!!!!!!

I continue to have some requests for personal wordart and I just love it!!!  Janet, again thank you for creating this new form of fun for me.

Janet's daughter is a "family camp counselor" and this just brought so many different images into my mind.  Now, this is something that I know something about.  As both a child and later as an adult I have been camping.  There were family trips with my family as a little girl, vacations when my own family was young and I was even previleged to go to a number of "girl scout" camps as a child.  I have never been a counselor, but I do remember how much I LOVED MINE.

This particular wordart I made it more "generalized" so that it could be used by all that love this great form of relaxation/gatherings.

You can download it at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/yHM6JdsI/Clean_Up.html
Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH JANET.  And for any others out there, if there is any kind of WORDART that you may be looking for .... I'D LOVE TO CREATE THAT SPECIAL ONE FOR YOU, TOO!!!!!

Will You Be My Best Friend

How often have you heard your child say .... he/she is my best friend!!!  When my children were small this little phrase could always, always be heard as they were playing with the best friend of the day.

I have done this in two versions ... one featuring a little boy and one featuring a little girl.

Here is a preview of both:

You can download them both at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/xzxx9VPQ/Be_my_best_friend.html
Hope you like them.  I love reading all your comments, so don't forget to leave me one.

And ofcourse, if this is your first time here .... I welcome you.  And, if you have anytime .... please do sit awhile and grab all the goodies I have.  Most of my Mother's Day freebies can be found under the label LOVE.

Hugs always, Sue

Watching Us

Many times when I have had a trip to the zoo, certain animals seem to really be able to look right into your mind.  For me, it is the birds .... especially the owls.  It is as if they know exactly what you are thinking.  Another bird that looks fierce is the hawk ... he looks like he'd like you for dinner!!!!

A closer look for you of the wordart:

What do you think??????  You can download at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/o3miiq7T/watching_us.html

This is probably my last free wordart for about two weeks .... I leave for my mother's on the 19th for an eight day stay.  I feel very blessed to know that this trip is a reality finally after a very tough six weeks for me.  Every day is a blessing and with the reality that my mother's days on this earth may be numbered, I will treasure this one deeply.  I want to thank everyone for all your support and prayers.

I would also like to invite everyone if you have time to go collect the post called "Cat's Personality" freebie.  I have added a layout that features one of my colored drawings in it.  For those that don't know, that is my God given talent.  I am able to draw.  This one is of my beloved Bastet.  Isn't he beautful with the most expressive eyes.

Do leave some love and let me know what you think of my beloved cat.

The New Zoo Review

Children that go to the zoo during the school trip on a field trip usually have to write an article about the animals and what they saw.  This little cat couldn't wait to see what his favorite child wrote about all his friends.

You can download this at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/oEhZyN4H/The_New_Zoo_Review.html

I will be leaving for my mother's on Thursday, April 19th for a week.  So, I will be only posting probably one more freebie this week.  The week has finally arrived for me to finally see her in person.  I am both very excited and also a little apprehensive.  Just the same .... I am ready to see my Mom.

In Love

Oh ..... love is in the air at the zoo.  His heart is just about to jump right out of his chest and he is seeing cross-eyed.

You can download them at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/TCyi2yF5/zoopendous.html

Special thanks goes out to Kylie at Shabby Princess for her "chalkboard alphabet".  I thought they just made my "school boy crush".  You can find her site at:  http://shabbyprincess.com/.

A new giraffe

This little freebie continues to give me problems, so I am reissuing it again with additional changes.  I have added a brand new giraffe to it, along with a palm tree as he has one of it's leaves in his mouth.

You can download him at:  http://www.4shared.com/zip/1juDoSuV/take_me_to_the_zoo.html

In error I used a giraffe from LDS Blog Train from Noah's Ark kit in error.  I do apologize to Jenn Graham that send me the comment.  Jenn, I have marked that kit accordingly and won't use it again in any of my freebies.  Again, I am sorry for the oversight.

I have removed the other take me to the zoo from my posts.

Hugs, Sue
