Snowflakes

Just another layout page

Even though our snow is melting, this is a photograph of my husband that I took of him while he was shoveling the snow off of our deck.  It is his look that I wanted to capture.

Another scrapbook page I did this morning is
one for all the cornfield's of our nation
whether they are in Iowa or another state.

There is not much to this layout because
I just didn't think it needed more.

The saying is:

They say every snowflake is different.
If that were true, how could the world go on?
How could we get off our knees?
How could we ever recover the wonder of it?

I just love this.

In addition, I must apologize to one of the other bloggers for a scrapbook page I put on my site.  I am in the process of making a photobook using scrapbook pages and photographs from this past Christmas.  I did use her layout because I thought it was so cute.  She has requested that I take the layout off of my site, which I have done.  My error was putting it up here.  I did not mean to imply that I was taking credit for the layout, but I understand why she felt that way.   I just wanted to let everyone see my husband and myself in this adorable layout.  So, to Vanilla Designz I extend this heartfelt apology.  I am not a person that won't tell someone I am sorry, when it is needed.  I am truely sorry.  I honestly didn't mean to make this grave error.  I hope that you will accept this, as I really meant no harm.

Hi Conny,

On my blog today, I have addressed something that happened to me the day I published the layout of my husband and I.

After a full week, I've decided to address two emails that I received that day.

They were the most hateful and cruel writings I have ever gotten and they were just plain hurtful.

I sent my public apology to you because I felt it was the right thing to do. That's how I was raised .... to right a wrong.

I had a very close friend of mine lose her husband in a sudden death a week before and that has been so unbelievably hard for me. He died in her arms. I found that during that first week in Febuary I couldn't hardly function myself. I was filled with so much disbelief. And then Barbara ended up in ICU with nothing the doctors could diagnose except to say, "she didn't want to live".

The layout was a way of trying to help myself stop crying. I was so afraid of losing her, too. I couldn't help her, but I had to find a way to help myself. So, I looked for a happy layout and it ended up being yours. And, instead of helping me ... it became a "harder learning experience" for me instead.

I felt so strongly I was letting my dearest friend, Barbara down and then I compounded it by letting my cyberviile family down.

Due to what happened, I questioned whether to even continue my blog. Especially when every creative effort was gone.

I am not talking about you or your comments, because I have alot of respect for the way you handled it. And, I want you to understand that my blog entry today is not aimed at you in anyway.

It is addressed to two other comments because I have to. I have thought a long time before I made this decision.

I need to do this to heal. I know that there so many wonderful, fantastic people out there in cyberville that I have the privilege to refer to them as friends.

Hopefully now you will have alittle more understanding of what was going on with me a week ago.
I am making no excuses, but I really believe it my spirits had been better, I know better than to alter anyone's work. Just the same, thank you for helping me that day. Your layout was heaven sent.

Praise the Lord, Barbara is doing better now. I pray for her each and every single day.

Hugs, Sue
